A warm welcome to the park
The Fairclough family would like to extend you a huge welcome as we introduce our hidden gem, High Gaitle Caravan Park.
High Gaitle Caravan park is rural and peaceful whilst being in close proximity to central transport links, allowing our guests to explore in every direction. We are situated just 3 miles from the iconic Gretna Green and 9 miles from the historic city of Carlisle. The western sections of Hadrian’s Wall are a stones throw away, allowing walkers the chance to undertake parts of this famous walking route. To the East, we are just 25 miles to the Northumberland National Park and to the South, Keswick in the heart of the Lake District is only 40 minutes drive! If you are considering venturing North, the M6 is just 2.5 miles away. With a direct route to Glasgow the 90 miles can be undertaken in just over 90 minutes! We really are perfectly positioned to suit everyone.
High Gaitle is bordered by two streams, with a variety of mature trees along its perimeter and in the park itself. This includes a unique, ornamental looking Monkey Puzzle tree!
Pitches Available
On site we have 30 pitches, 28 of which have electric hook up points.
- 18 pitches are hard standing.
- 12 pitches are on grass.
On site amenities
We endeavour to maintain a high level of cleanliness in our amenities building for all our guests. There are ladies and gents facilities as well as a disabled toilet/shower room. Keys for this can be provided on request.
There is a utility room situated within the amenities building with a sink for washing up, and even puzzle books for you to enjoy! There are colouring pages for any young campers to help themselves to and an expanding selection of books and magazines to read. A new addition in 2026 is a fridge and freezer for guest use and a local area leaflet area.
The building also houses a chemical disposal point with a new grey water waste point near the site entrance.
Caravan Storage
Have you ever considered storing your caravan in a central position for exploring? We have a caravan storage area for up to 50 caravans/motor homes allowing you to leave your caravan and uplift it when you want to explore!
We are family friendly and also welcome dogs to our park. We kindly request that pets are on a lead at all times for everyones comfort.
